THE CAMPFIRE LEADERSHIP FORUM

A shared experience. A better conversation.

Some of the most important conversations cannot be scheduled.

They begin with a shared experience.

The Campfire Leadership Forum brings together military units, defense organizations, first responder agencies, corporations, universities, churches, nonprofits, and civic leaders for an evening intentionally designed to create the kinds of conversations that rarely happen in everyday life.

Every forum begins with a reception, continues through a screening of The Campfire, and opens into a facilitated conversation among the filmmakers, featured participants, and guests.

The film is not the destination.

It is where the conversation begins.

ABOUT THE FILM

The Campfire is a feature documentary that follows veterans, first responders, and their families through an expedition into the Florida Everglades.

As they navigate one of America's most demanding landscapes, the conversations naturally turn toward leadership, service, purpose, faith, family, identity, forgiveness, and the responsibilities that endure long after uniforms, titles, and careers change.

Rather than relying on narration or scripted interviews, the film invites viewers into authentic conversations shared around the campfire among people who have lived the experiences they discuss.

The result is more than a documentary.

It is a shared experience that prepares the room for a different kind of conversation.

WHY ORGANIZATIONS HOST THE FORUM

Organizations do not host The Campfire Leadership Forum simply to show a film.

They host it because shared experiences create conversations that lectures, presentations, and annual training rarely achieve.

Whether serving a military formation, defense organization, first responder agency, corporation, university, church, nonprofit, or civic organization, the forum creates space for people to think together about responsibility, service, relationships, purpose, and what endures.

No keynote.

No panel.

No presentations.

Just a room where people trusted with significant responsibility are willing to speak honestly about what endures.

THE CONVERSATION

Some events conclude when the program ends.

The Campfire Leadership Forum is designed to begin there.

Across previous forums, one pattern has remained remarkably consistent. When the formal program concludes, people stay.

General officers.

Defense executives.

Entrepreneurs.

Military spouses.

First responders.

Community leaders.

Not because anyone asks them to.

Because they have found something increasingly rare:

A room where people trusted with significant responsibility are willing to speak honestly about what endures.

ENDURING READINESS

Readiness is not measured only by how people perform under pressure.

It is measured by what enables them to sustain that performance over a lifetime.

We call that Enduring Readiness, the lifelong capacity to sustain purpose, character, relationships, contribution, and performance through challenge, success, transition, and service.

The Campfire Leadership Forum reflects a growing recognition across the military, public safety, business, and leadership communities that enduring organizations are built by people who remain grounded in purpose, connected to one another, and committed to something larger than themselves.

The forum strengthens those capacities through shared experience, thoughtful conversation, and practical reflection.
